It is crazy nice outside lately. Most of the student here have been wearing t-shirts and shorts the last few days. Spring is so close! Tomorrow I'll be heading home for spring break. We'll be driving through the night. Leaving Friday night and getting back Saturday morning... hopefully. I think I'll try to drive the first half or so and sleep the rest of the time. Hopefully we don't die. That would not be good.
Have a good week everyone, I'm out of here. Later

Day of prayer
Today is day of pray. This morning I was not looking forward to it, most because it made my day longer. Most people viewed it as a break, it wasn't so for me. I also did not see much to the sessions that I enjoyed. I dreaded it all around.
At this point I am also dealing with a unique situations concerning personal relationships, a crisis for me in my life. I honestly do not know how to respond to this situations or the people involved. It is highly stressful and emotional. I excited for the people involved, but upset with them as well. It is very confusing for me even now.
The theme for today's sessions is, praying in times of trial. I view the last few days as a trial. Something that is uncomfortable or difficult. In the chapel time the speakers told us stories of their own trials that they went through and their own reactions to the trial. They began with what they went through, then what they felt because of it. As they continued talking about trials, I felt involved. I did not want to think of myself as weak and needing help so I tend to avoid thinking that the message might apply to me. This message did, right on the spot.
The key phrase that was said by Coach during the session was "You're Selfish" in reference to his own emotional response to his trial. When it came time to respond to his situation, it is selfishness. My response is not much different.
I looked at my situation very selfishly. It caused me discomfort and I did not like it. I did not look at how others were being affected during the trial. I did not consider what God might do through the event. I know that I did not look to the best interest of the one hurting me. But after I heard those words, everything flipped. It no longer was about me and what I felt. It was about God and fulfilling his plan and purpose in the lives of people.
That is why I write this. I am not looking for attention, but I desire to give attention to God and show what He is doing in my life. Today has been a growing experience for me because what God has put in my life. It is hard to go through, but once through it I would never change a things. By this we know that when trials come it is for our benefit and growth. James 1:2-3 says "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow" (NLT).

Snow storm
No worries, I'm not dead. We did however get somewhere close to two feet of snow.
Much like the snow, my homework is having a snowball effect. That is the reason that I haven't updated recently. Also because there has been nothing huge to update about.
I did teach a lesson for youth group last Wednesday. It went well from what I could tell, but I really won't know what God will do with it. I have another lesson that I'll be teaching next week that I am excited about. I really enjoy it.
Rachel is doing alright. She went in for an appointment today with the chiropractor and they are hopeful. They are expecting a lot out of her, but they think that they can help get her straightened out.
Thats all for now. Later
